For best results, apply in the spring or fall when daily average soil temperatures are consistently between 60°F and 75°F or air temperatures are between 65°F and 85°F. How to Use
PREP
New Lawns
- Rake area to loosen the top layer of soil (approximately 2"" deep) and remove any dead grass or debris, ensuring seed-to-soil contact.
Overseeding
- Mow lawn at the lowest setting and bag the clippings. Rake to remove debris, dead grass, and loosen the soil, ensuring seed-to-soil contact.
APPLY
- Use a Scotts® spreader to apply the seed at the recommended spreader setting.
RAKE
- Lightly rake the seed into the soil to ensure seed is covered just beneath the soil surface.
WHEN AND WHERE TO USE
Where Not to Use
- Do not apply near water, storm drains or drainage ditches.
Where to Use
- Use for new lawns or overseeding existing lawns.
